We, at HDFC Sales, have always had a keen interest in encouraging and hiring young and fresh talent across the country. Our selection process is designed in a way to ensure that we select students who are brimming with knowledge and have an entrepreneurial bent of mind with the ability and skills to apply them to concepts.
Students are encouraged to discuss their aspirations and expectations during the course of our interview. They are also told in great detail about the job profiles that we are looking for. We ensure that the selection process during the recruitment is fair and transparent.
Here is a look at the detailed process followed by us for Campus Recruitment:
Pre-placement talk is an interactive session where we share insights about the organization via presentations and short films with the students. Our focus is on the organizations’ profile, business, vision and values. We also discuss the job profile in detail to set the expectations right for the employer as well as the employee.
An aptitude test is conducted to assess the students’ basic skills like communication, logical reasoning and their numerical ability. It is a written test which needs to be taken within a specific timeframe to qualify for the other rounds.
Post the aptitude test, the qualifying students have to participate in Group Discussions on topics relevant to the industry. We assess students on the following parameters:
- Interpersonal skills
- Ability to generate ideas
- Ability to handle pressure
The final round is the Panel interview which is a ‘one on one’ interaction between the short-listed student and the panel. The panel comprises of HR and Business/Line managers who conduct in-depth interviews to understand a student’s potential. They also understand the student’s expectations from the organization and set goals at an individual and organizational level.
The short-listed students are then issued a “Letter of Interest” which is an acknowledgement of their selection in the organization.
